Audi R8 Cars

One of the tuning stars that will certainly capture the public’s attention at this year’s Geneva Auto Show is MTM’s Audi R8 Biturbo, a project that combines a polished finish with an insane engine output.

The vehicle’s V10 engine has been fitted with twin turbochargers and now delivers 777 hp and 888 Nm (655 lb.ft.) of torque, pushing the monster to a top speed of over 350 km/h (217 mph). As for the sprinting game, the vehicle can hit 62 mph in 3 seconds flat, 124 mph (200 km/h) in 9.37 (we like the German precision) seconds and 184 mph (300 km/h) in 19,42 seconds.

To handle all the muscle, the MTM R8 V10 biturbo uses an adjustable suspension, a beefier braking system that comes with 380 x 34 mm rotors and eight-piston grabbers for both axles and 20-inch forged rims.

The exterior of the vehicle comes with a polished finish that took over 700 working hours to complete and has been fitted with multiple carbon fiber parts. This is an unique vehicle, which is estimated by the German aftermarket developer at EUR400,000 (around $554,000).

“Real uniqueness you can also find at the design: The paint of the R8 was completely removed and highly polished in over 700 working hours. The plastic attaching parts have been replaced by carbon parts or with a special paint polished. An adjustable rear spoiler and a front lip out of carbon improve the aerodynamic and stabilise the car. The interior leather shows that MTM Individual has a perfect design,” a company statement reads.

Audi R8 Road Star Cars

The Audi R8 (Typ 42) is a sports car with a longitudinally mounted mid-engine, and uses Audi's trademark quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. It was introduced by the German automaker Audi AG in 2006.

The car was exclusively designed, developed, and manufactured by Audi AG's high performance private subsidiary company, quattro GmbH, and is based on the Lamborghini Gallardo platform.[8] The fundamental construction of the R8 is based on the Audi Space Frame,[3] and uses an aluminium monocoque which is built around space frame principles. The car is built by quattro GmbH in a newly renovated factory at Audi's 'aluminium site' at Neckarsulm in Germany.

In 2005, Audi announced that the name of the successful Audi R8 race car would be used for a new road car in 2007, the Audi R8, based on the Audi Le Mans quattro concept car, appearing at the 2003 International Geneva Motor Show, and 2003 Frankfurt International Motor Show. The R8 road car was officially launched at the Paris Auto Show on 30 September 2006. There was some confusion with the name, which the car shares with the 24 Hours of Le Mans winning R8 Le Mans Prototype (LMP). 6-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Jacky Ickx described the R8 as "the best handling road car today".

The Audi R8 is used as a safety car in Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters and British Superbike Championship racing series.
